Feending raises €200,000 to build AI agents for community management

At Feending we have raised €200,000 to develop artificial intelligence agents that automate the key tasks of community managers. We closed the round this July 2026 with entirely Spanish capital —backed by current partners and new investors from Valencia and Madrid— and a grant from the Valencia City Council's Seed programme.

The capital will go towards developing the artificial intelligence built into the platform, in line with Feending's vision of building smart communities (Building Smart Communities).

Who has invested in this Feending round?

This round is backed by investors from Valencia and Madrid, several of them already Feending shareholders. They include Carlos Parames (Houlihan Lokey), Jaime Reneses (consultant and business angel), the Pastor family (Gestoría Pastor), Jano García (writer and director of Vione), architect Ramón Esteve and Álvaro Bordils (Zoka Pharma). The operation is completed with a grant from the Valencia City Council's Seed programme, which reinforces the entirely Spanish nature of the funding.

Why is traditional SaaS software falling behind?

Traditional SaaS software is falling behind because it is based on standardised, one-size-fits-all products, while artificial intelligence makes it possible to create flexible, specialised solutions that work for the customer.

According to Mario García-Granero, CEO of Feending: «We are living through one of the biggest changes software has seen in decades. Artificial intelligence is drastically lowering the barriers to developing applications and forces a complete rethink of SaaS companies' value proposition. The future is not only about offering tools, but about creating solutions that work for the customer».

For example, unlike a rigid SaaS, Feending adapts the tool to how each organisation manages its community, and not the other way around.

What is Feending V2?

Feending V2 is Feending's new modular architecture, launched in July 2026, which adapts the platform 100% to each organisation's needs. Developed over the last six months, it makes it possible to build custom features when they add real value to community management: unique platforms for each customer, instead of a single product for everyone.

For example, Feending V2 is already deployed with new customers such as Valencia Best Places, a hospitality group that includes brands like Atenea, Tatel, Front and Maravella, and which through Feending manages the relationship with its community with personalised communications, events, promotions and ticket sales from a single channel.

Unique platforms: the tool adapts to you, not the other way around

Unlike traditional, inflexible SaaS, Feending adapts the tool to each customer's specific needs, not the other way around. Classic SaaS models force the customer to fit their processes into a standardised product, the same for everyone. Feending flips it around: thanks to its new modular architecture, each organisation can have a truly unique platform, built around how it really manages its community.

Agentic AI takes this idea a step further, working in two directions at once: for the manager, making it easier to manage and energise the community; and for the end user, proactively bringing them the information or content that most interests them, without their having to look for it.

What does this mean for Feending's current customers?

All of Feending's current customers will migrate progressively to Feending V2, gradually and without interruptions. They include alumni communities such as UCAM, UNIR, CEU and the Universitat de València, and acceleration initiatives or innovation hubs such as Valencia Innovation Capital and La Nave Madrid.

The migration will be frictionless for the teams that already manage their community with Feending. If you are a customer and have questions about how or when it affects your platform, you can contact your usual account manager.

Phase 2: AI agents that work for and on behalf of the manager

In its next phase, Feending will develop artificial intelligence agents capable of generating content, connecting people with common interests and automating communications autonomously. The goal is to evolve from a platform that assists the manager to one that works autonomously on their behalf, while improving the experience of end users.

The planned agents will be able to generate content, connect people with common interests, keep members' participation active, automate communications, spot improvement opportunities and produce reports with recommendations. The roadmap for the next twelve months aims to automate a large part of the operational tasks that today consume the time of community management teams.

A gradual and prudent roadmap

Feending combines speed of execution with strategic prudence: it develops the highest-impact capabilities first before opening new features. In an environment where technology, regulation and the capabilities of AI models evolve constantly, Feending has chosen to move forward in phases, validating each product milestone before taking the next step. The €200,000 from this round finance precisely this first AI roadmap.
